Animation score, like a musical chase!

I love writing music by hand, it has been part of my sketching process for a long time and it adds another layer of making the music more personal, similar to animation in a way.

I recently had this idea, while going over some of my scores, to make animated videos of the music and try to make the score move the way it's being played or read.

Writing a score like this, accompanying a famous couple of cat chasing mouse, can feel like a chase by itself! Almost as if the chase happens also on the paper, between the melodies. And quite literally, it’s a challenge. For the musicians watching, you get another view of this little Mariachi-esque feline dance.

In this type of Mickey-mousing music, with a lot of movement, melodic counterpoint and sounds, and also because the music graphically tends to look like what you hear, it works well! I wonder if the animators of the 40s and 50s can relate?
